The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) on September 07, 2026, issued a notice regarding the introduction of Open API Integration for Certificate of Origin (CoO) through the Trade Connect e-Platform.
The following has been stated: -
•DGFT has introduced an Open API facility on the Trade Connect e-Platform to enable exporters to integrate their ERP/accounting systems with the electronic Certificate of Origin system.
•The facility will allow electronic submission and exchange of CoO-related information, reducing manual data entry and streamlining the application process.
•Exporters can register, obtain API access, and complete technical integration through the prescribed process on the Trade Connect e-Platform.
•Stakeholders are advised to undertake the required integration and may approach the DGFT Helpdesk for technical assistance or queries.
